Walang Forever : Ang Huling Blog Post na Isusulat ko

Sabi nga nila, all good things must come to an end. Pero did you ever realize? That really…nothing lasts forever.

‘Yong tipong may warning muna. Para hindi naman masyadong masakit sa puso.  Ayon… Paalam na! (sigh)

May bagong blog site na ako and it’s finally a DOT COM woottt!

Tara magsimula ulit tayo sa : http://thenextminimalist.com

Hanggang dito na lang…

Just Like Julie signing off….

Davao Digital Influencers

such a lovely set up

First of all, kudos to the officers led by Mr. Glen Santillan for the success of Davao Digital Influencers, Inc.  (DDI, Inc.) grand launch and acquaintance party. Held last September 3, 2016 at Polo Bistro, Marco Polo Hotel, Davao City, passionate bloggers, video bloggers, and microbloggers gathered to celebrate the official start of the group. It was a night of socialization, fun and most of all a night of inspiration not just as digital influencers but as Davaoeños. A proof that we will rise up as one Davao after the unfortunate incident of bombing at Roxas Night Market which was just a night before our party.

“The timing was a meaningful one as we reminded our young base to use their talents anchored on universal and time-tested principles of truth and accuracy, independence, fairness and impartiality, humanity, and accountability”, posted by ASec Art Boncato in his official facebook account. He is also one of the guests during the party.

It is such an honor to be part of this community and I am looking forward for more fun and productive experiences with these awesome people. I also believe that posting your thoughts online is not just enough. It is also nice to go out and meet the people behind their blog sites and social media accounts. This is what I also like with this kind of gathering. I just love the reactions when bloggers met and say, “ahhhhh ikaw pala si >insert screen name<”.

Here’s a photo diary of what happened during the grand launch:

Why Choose Jolly Heart Mate Canola Oil

Celebrity Chef Donita Rose kicks off the first leg of her Regional Festival Tour here in Davao City during Kadayawan Festival 2016 by sharing her satisfying recipes and cooking techniques using Jolly Heart Mate Canola Oil.

“Our culture is practically centered on food which brings families closer, so we should also be aware of how we prepare the food and what ingredients we use the dishes that we serve,” said Donita.

She encourages Davaoenos to prepare delicious dishes using their harvest making it healthy with the use of Jolly Heart Mate Canola Oil which contains the lowest amount of saturated fats but packs in the good kind like omega 3 and 6 that are good for the heart. It also contains Vitamin A and has a pale golden color, light texture and neutral taste that makes it good for all kinds of cooking. And what I personally like about this product is it has one of the highest smoking point which makes it perfect for frying or sautéing (my fave way of cooking).

After here in Davao City, Donita is going to Naga for the Penafrancia Festival to continue her nationwide festival tour. For more information on Chef Donita’s Festival Tour with Jolly Heart Mate Canola Oil, check out their official facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/JollyHeartMateCanolaOil.

Happy Cooking!

PLDT Thanks Davaoeños

Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Mr. Gary Dujali, PLDT VP and HOME Marketing Director

In time with Kadayawan 2016, PLDT Home Brand Ambassador and Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcacid visited Davao City for the Regine Concert series. This is to express their overwhelming gratitude for making PLDT number one in The Crown Jewel of Mindanao. “As the Philippines’ leader in digital innovations and multimedia content offerings, we want to make sure that our services and products are available to all Filipinos in the country. Davao is among the first to experience the dawn of the smart HOME powered by PLDT,” PLDT VP and HOME Marketing Director Gary Dujali said.

I was invited to join the Thanks giving dinner by PLDT, held at Marco Polo Hotel Davao City. It was attended by different media groups from all over the City. It was a blast and really a rewarding night for those who joined the event. Other than the delicious buffet dinner, most of my friends from Davao Digital Influencers received a lot of prizes. PLDT is truly thankful for the continued support of Davaoenos thus they are giving back such gratitude among its customers nationwide.

Thank you so much PLDT and I am looking forward to joining more of your events!

My Duterte Journey a #MyDuterteStory

I was there👆🏻!

(photo above not mine. credits to the owner)

It was a crazy roller coster ride for all the Duterte supporters. It was never easy defending him but it was worth it. Malaki ang tiwala ko sa taong ito and I will be standing proud sa buong buhay ko na for once may ginawa ako para sa bansa. Hindi siya perpekto, lalo na ako! But as you take the inaugauration today as the 16th President I together with the rest of the Filipinos gives you the floor. It’s time for you to lead the entire Philippines. Pangako ko rin Mayor Presidente, I will always be here not anymore to defend you kasi alam kong you take responsibility in your own words and actions but to be here to support you in all your plans for the good of the many Filipinos. Enjoy the journey and wishing you well on your Presidency (hindi parin ako makapaniwala)

Thank you Bloggers and Duterte Campaign Team.

Make Your Own Havaianas 2016

Celebrate Japan with Havaianas this year!  Make Your Own Havaianas (MYOH), the biggest flip-flops customization event in the country is happening today April 22, 2016 here in Davao City.

Havaianaticos will experience the land of the rising sun as they customize their own flip-flops by mixing and matching colorful soles, straps and pins.

Here is a first look at this year’s Shibori-inspired limited edition commemorative pair available in top and slim soles.

Shibori Sole

Shibori is a Japanese-inspired fabric-dyeing technique. The design goes perfectly with a selection of kawaii pins – zori, empress, ramen and more!

Trivia : Did you know that our favorite flip flop brand was born in Brazil in 1962 but what most people do not know is that the very first flip flop was inspired by the Zori – flat, thonged Japanese Sandals made of fabric straps and rice straw soles.

Want to experience MYOH 2016?

They will be at 2nd level of SM Lanang Premier (beside Starbucks) from April 22 to May 1, 2016.

For more details, check out Havaianas Philippines on Facebook and @Havaianasphils on Instagram and Twitter. Use the hashtag #MYOH2016 to join the fun!
